Still on the road so can not help but I think all documentation build tools are

As for the “Official” documentation, since there were objections to build
everything every time, it is no longer built every time there is a new
revision, rather any developer who made changes will have to log on to jenkins
and uncomment any book affected in the docbuild task. And comment it out again
when built.

Eventually this will be automated, not just yet.

yes, it should. It is too easy to overlook a manual step (I would not really know what to do on Jenkins, short of having any real Jenkins knowledge, so no current knowledge about "docbuild task", what to change, what to do then and then undo).

There is a script in "docs/trunk/tools/svnListRevisions.rex" that can be used as a basis to write a small Rexx script that notes the current date/time of an existing pdf documentation and automatically triggers a new creation, if there is a newer commit available.

Let us discuss this here on the developer list once you are back such that everyone here can discuss and lend a helping hand wherever necessary. (This developer list is meant for such communications and should be used. Whenever face-to-face communications outside this forum occur, everyone else is effectively locked out and uninformed, which should not be the case in a voluntary, co-operative developer community and all interested parties that read this list as well.)

While having some free time I turned to add documentation for added RFEs and
adjusting the message instruction scope part.

Knowing that Gil has updated the Windows build scripts, I wanted to get to them and went for
"build-utilities\trunk\doc\build-utils.windows" which unfortunately only contains
"[ Place holder needs to be written ]". Also the other files for building on debian are
quite out of date as Gil's set of scripts allow one to build on Debian and MacOS as well, if not
mistaken.

Not sure where I can find Gil's latest tools. The central place to give directions should
probably be in "build-utilities\trunk\doc\", so requesting to update that
directory accordingly, such that it reflects the current state and the location where to
get at the tools.

P.S.: It has been a rather long time when working with the documentation, and
in the meantime there has been so much different things in between that I
forgot the locations for the documentation.
