I had this in mind the whole time while writing XBF. I plan to have
additional block maps in each file for each block's sub blocks.

Good to hear this. Though I'd suggest you keep an eye out that there are
several ways to call a function. At least the "the <functionName> of
<parameter>" as an equivalent to "<functionName>( <parameter> )" should be
supported, even for user functions. But I guess this'll turn out to be easy.
