There are 6 million EZX devices out there lusting for a software update. If we 
manage to focus on A780 and A1200 to show that 'we can do it', I'm very sure 
that we can attract lots of new developers.

My view is that kernel-wise we're 80% there -- please correct me if that's 
wrong. For userland we have multiple options, but this does not mean anything 
until we sort our kernel out.

So, in short, I think we should concentrate on getting the older but widely 
deployed models to a state where at least the infrastructure for a 
bread-and-butter application (dialer, phonebook, sms, calendar) is solidly 
working.

Could you educate us what exactly is missing kernel-wise?
