I do not think that Moto wireless will be going away, but the brand name may change. Their high end phones missed the mark in the past, but think that going forward they will be fixing their internal problems. This project is not using any of the original software except the MBM pre-bootloader and the baseband. It really is not an EZX platform anymore. It should be thought of as an alternative baseband/development platform for the Angstrom distribution. Once we probe further into the Motorola baseband we should have no trouble porting the idea to future Motorola based phones. I would like to try my hand at getting power management and the based band to work on the a1200 phone. I think that having a phone with QVGA resolution and 48 MB of RAM or less is an important development aid for OpemMoko. I have the arterial motive that I wish to use the device as a work project. I work for Numonyx, a NAND and NOR flash memory provider. Justin Treon ____________________________________________________________________________________ You rock.
