Joseph,
Great job on getting it squeezed in after medinfo.
The pattern set at the first one is irrelevant now (different
time, place and space). Use the time at medinfo to spread the
word to potential new attendees, refer everyone to presentations
at medinfo and PHCSG that are relevant to opensource. Those that
are interested can meet somewhere for dinner on the evening of
the 5th for introductions and to hammer out a final agenda for
the 6th.
Waiting until the 5th for a final agenda flies in the face of
'how to hold a meeting', but look at the opportunity coming out
of medinfo and going in to PHCSG.
Everyone would be ready to get down to the business of promoting
opensource on the 6th.
If anyone has a project/paper that they want to present at OSHCA,
that is not being presented at medinfo and/or PHCSG, then they
could produce a paper and have it passed out at medinfo via the
'opensoure guerrilla force' on station. I will venture that those
people who are coming only to the OSHCA are few and are already
very familiar with what is going on in the community.
This is actually an opportunity to have OSHCA things happen for a
week!
Use the resources around us. Are there specific government
officials that you have/intend to invite for presentations? If so
we can let them know about relevant presentations at the other
two events (three if you consider the HL7 event too).
We should prepare an 'OSHCA Guide to Presentations' that covers
all four events.
Later,
