In fact, this is not a problem at the sender's side, it's really the receiver's 
problem.
Only the receiver knows how many characters can be displayed per line, so it 
would be the receiver's job to wrap the lines.
This includes any mailing archive software of course.

If it was the sender's problem, then the sender should always keep below 10 
characters per line, "just to make sure everyone could read it".
-But yes, I know that there's a lot of software out there that does not do 
this. :/

I really find it impressive, that this problem was not solved on the internet; 
it was on FidoNet (which was before the internet).


Duane; I'm using GyazMail and find it quite convenient; except for *one* thing 
only: When I reply to any lists, it does not automatically switch to the 
account that belongs to this list; apart from that, I like it very much - try 
it out. ;)
For line-breaks, I usually place a carriage return right after each full-stop 
(it also makes each sentence "look" shorter, thus it makes it easier to read).
