BTW, I'm planning to add the support of stlink-server in official openocd, maybe (once merged) you can use it to connect to some boards connected somewhere else (where you will be running the stlink-server) a preview, is available in : https://github.com/STMicroelectronics/OpenOCD/blob/openocd-cubeide-r1/src/jtag/drivers/stlink_usb.c
