Of course, but John had already volunteered to do that earlier in the
thread:

I was just pointing out he can do what he wants right now, without anyone
else changing what they do.   Of course, given the free-form format of the
project-announce mails, he'll probably be manually parsing them unless he
convinces Eric and team to start using a parseable format.
