A small hint: You are not the community, you are John Plocher.

If the OpenSolaris project (and the people that control it) is not mature 
enough 
for respectful dealings with other OpenSource software projects, then it may be
a mistake to start this kind of relationship.

As other people don't seem to concur with you, it seems to be a problem with 
one or two people only and may be fixed.
