Exactly how did they fail you ?
Fundamental Architecture ?
The openat(2) and friends API ?
If so exactly what is wrong and how would you do it
different ?
Support for them in certain file systems ?
How can they be fixed ?
What other system does it better ?
PLEASE don't make statements like you did they aren't helpful,
particularly when you stick in words I need to lookup in the dictionary
and then can't find!
If you want to have a discussion about XATTRs then lets discuss details.
I really want to understand why they didn't work for you.
