Libcdio is the typical crap in the CD/DVD "support" area that started
to appear some time ago.

People collect coder from somewhere and then combine it without understanding
it. Libcdio is e.g. based on outdated 10 year old code for CD-DAE. Cdda2wav did
evolve meanwhile.....

In addition, there is a license problem in libcdio: It is under GPL which
prevents any non-GPL application on top of it.

Artem, did you implement your replacement code the way I did propose (by calling
cdda2wav)?

If you did not..... cdda2wav is full of tricks that allow it to work around
typical bugs (deviations from the CD standard) and to play or extract audio
in as many cases as possible.
