I've recently installed a fresh version of the developer edition and, for example, I'd like to install ndiswrapper to get my wireless adapter to work. Or install new DVD software. This would require me to 'make' something.....well, 'make' anything for that matter. So very hard to do without the make utility; something that should be provided with the system. You'll have to bear with me I'm making the transition from Ubuntu where all pkg's are readily available. Thanks
