Intel Video The fact that the same video hardware works nicely in 3D on Linux since aprox. 2 years makes me wonder why such a laptop that is used by many hackers does not get attention by Solaris. I get the impression that we still have to do a lot in order to make Solaris an accepted community project. > Intel video? I reported such problems in Spring already. At that time I got the impresssion that nobody was interested in the problem. Thank you Jürgen, for being helpful again! > http://defect.opensolaris.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=9750 > > > > Also the problem with the restarted Xorg after a > > suspend/resume still exists. It seems that the upgrade to the new Xorg version (aprox. a year ago) was done in a way that should never happen. From what you write, it seems that there have been changes that were known in advance to create problems. I borrowed a test hard disk for the machine and I could e.g. try to go back to build 105 - I believe that this was the last working version with respect to video support.
