Subject: OpenSSL vs SSLeay?
Would some knowledgeable person please clue me in as to the distinction
between OpenSSL and SSLeay?
OpenSSL appears to be the successor to SSLeay as there are no recent files
on the SSLeay ftp sites, and the OpenSSL version numbering seems to continue
on from where SSLeay leaves off. I did look on the OpenSSL web site, but I
couldn't find any any documentation addressing this question.
Also, could someone add this question to the OpenSSL FAQ? maybe right at
the beginning under "MISC"?
Please copy me with a response, as I'm not on the openssl-users mailing
list.
