I'm curious why there's almost a four-day delay between the writing of the response and its receipt by the first MTA. Are you not connected 24/7, or do you only periodically send queued messages?

hotpop.com has been flaky lately.

sometimes it's taking 2-3 days to get messages off of
my machine to smtp.hotpop.com. :-/

Unfortunately, there's not much I can do about it,
other than switch to a pay service for POP access --
which I will probably do within the next year..but
for now, I'm kinda stuck with these glitches.
