This *really* belongs on osdev...

Anyway, my two cents: We need to be a LITTLE BIT elitist, IMHO. If people
are idiots, they shouldn't be building the software themselves; they
should be downloading ready-to-deploy components, built by non-idiots who
are able and willing to install Ant.

Special cases exist, of course, but I don't want to have 8 billion copies
of ant lying on MY hard drive, just because there's an outlying situation
that MAY or MAY NOT be the case. (Has any user actually said "I have to
use
make" or "I can't upgrade ant" that we know of?)
