The specs of my Thin Client are:

CPU: VIA Eden nano V4 1Ghz
RAM: 128MB
Network: 10/100 Base-T Fast Ethernet twisted pair (RJ-45)

Also it has flash memory up to 128MB

What do you think?

Ruben

right now providing a build-environment for packages (+ documentation) is one
of our high priority issues. watch SUITE-27
(https://issues.openthinclient.org/otc/browse/SUITE-27) for progress on this
one.

there is already some rudimentary documentation regarding this topic at
openthinclient.org -> developers -> quick start

first of all you have to set up a build environment for building packages:

1. install Ubuntu 6.06
2. add archive.openthinclient.org to apt sources.list
3. insert openthinclient.org gpg key
4. update apt database
5. install development packages

further information/documentation (with examples) should be online next week.

well in this early stage of the openthinclient suite there is some room for
speed improvements indeed. furthermore the hardware requirements are fairly
high as a standard (stripped down) ubuntu dapper linux including GNOME 2.14 is
used.

if there is no network related problem, this sounds like your thin client runs
out of RAM and the kernel "oom killer" selects tasks to kill because it runs
out of memory.

what are the specs of the thin client you are using (CPU/RAM/...)?
