i just tested a (vmware) thin client with 128MB:

after opening serveral firefox tabs (yahoo sites) the client ran out of memory 
and stopped responding.

if you want to use your thin client(s) as surf station(s) (running native 
webbrowsers) you have to upgrade RAM. in particular if flash-, acrobat- and 
java-plugins will be availible soon.
