I agree it's sad to see the mailing list dropped in favour of a forum. As a busy sysadmin, I find it much more convenient and efficient to follow software development/discussion via my mailbox, than via a web forum interface. Mail is simple and fast and the information generally uncluttered; for most web interfaces, the GUI gets in the way. Has the decision to change been driven by your manangement team or at the request of your clients? > From: [email protected] > [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of James Peel > Sent: Monday, June 14, 2010 2:28 PM > To: Opsview development > Cc: Opsview Users > Subject: Re: [opsview-users] [Opsview-devel] Announcing the end of > opsview-users and opsview-devel mailing lists > > > > > > > > The archives will still be available but new threads should be posted to > our mailing lists: [1]http://www.opsview.com/community/forum > > > > new posts should be posted to our forums > at: [2]http://www.opsview.com/community/forum > > > > Time to go home :) > > > > > > -- > > James > > > > References > > Visible links > 1. http://www.opsview.com/community/forum > 2. http://www.opsview.com/community/forum > _______________________________________________ > Opsview-users mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.opsview.org/lists/listinfo/opsview-users -- regards, Tony _______________________________________________ Opsview-users mailing list [email protected] http://lists.opsview.org/lists/listinfo/opsview-users
