Mark, I took a quick glimpse at the diff, and here's what I found out:
< - /tftpboot/rpm/pvm-modules-oscar-3.4.4+11-3.i386.rpm < - /tftpboot/rpm/pvm-3.4.4+11-3.i386.rpm --- > - /tftpboot/rpm/pvm-3.4.4-19.i386.rpm > - /tftpboot/rpm/pvm-gui-3.4.4-19.i386.rpm < is my oscarinstall.log > is Mark's oscarinstall.log OSCAR 4.0 comes with pvm-3.4.4+11-3, Fedora Core 2 comes with 3.4.4-19. I believe part of the PVM package setup script is to wipe /tftpboot/rpm of any pvm* RPMs, so I am not sure why you still have the FC2 files in /tftpboot/rpm, this may not be the cause of the problem, but is definitely an issue - you should look into this. Can you do cat /etc/redhat-release and also do rpm -qa | grep release on the headnode?
