I'm afraid I don't understand. Why is the "open source factor" so important? I mean, obviously I understand the benefits and implications of open source software - I've been around and involved in open source projects for years - but the driving force has never been solely for the "open sourceness". It's always been driven by a need (surely that's why we create software in the first place - open source or not?). > Anyway, competition is good and so It is the systems and platforms > interoperability; just as our Elephant friend says Sure, competition is good .. noone can deny that .. but in this instance we're not even talking about competition. I'd be more than happy with a standalone universal Macromedia Flash compiler :) _______________________________________________ osflash mailing list [email protected] http://osflash.org/mailman/listinfo/osflash_osflash.org
