I have practiced yoga for a number of years and instructed both geriatrics and general population in yoga. An important prerequisite for seniors is the ability to be able to get on/off the floor and balance abilities. "Regular" yoga/pilates classes require the ability to do this. For a high level individual I highly recommend Rod Strykers - Yoga for Longevity video - it is a series of slow prolonged stretches on/off floor with breathing and meditation incorporated-perfect for a higher level patient who is motivated. Hope this helps - let me know if you have other questions.
