yes it is on apache and i now know how to restart it. i have also managed to ftp into it.
but i am still not sure how to remove the shared memory segment. which directory do i need to change into from my command prompt and what file do i need to run the commands shell> ipcs | grep 4096 and shell> ipcrm -m 327685 on?
