In response to the events in Egypt, some people have started a project
to bring OLSR to Windows, OS X, iPhone and Android. I believe the plan
is to have OpenWRT-based routers acting as uplinks via
satellite/landline/whatever, and for international traffic to be
mesh-routed to/from the nearest uplink.
