Hi everyone,
Solutions to the problems you have encountered are documented in our FAQ
(http://www.metrowerks.com/pda/palm/FAQ/). Below I have included the standard
responses.
My best regards,
Luis
11.2 Can I merge a CodeWarrior Professional and CodeWarrior for Palm Computing
platform installation on Windows?
For CodeWarrior Professional 2 Windows and CodeWarrior for Palm OS 4, the
answer is yes. The installer for CodeWarrior Palm OS 4 will automatically
detect the Professional installation and present instructions for merging the
two installations. Note that in order for this to work correctly Professional 2
must be installed first.
For CodeWarrior Professional 4 Windows and CodeWarrior for Palm Computing
platform 5, the answer is also yes. See the document Pro 4 Integration.html
in the folder CodeWarrior for Palm OS/For CodeWarrior Pro 4 on the CD for
details. Note that in order for this to work correctly Professional 4 must be
installed first.
Merging versions of CodeWarrior on Windows other than the option above is not
recommended or supported.
11.3 Im following the merge instructions on the CodeWarrior for Palm Computing
platform CD but I cant seem to rebuild the precompiled headers (Windows) or
simulator precompiled headers (Mac). How do I fix it?
Windows:
In addition to the instructions in the documentation, you must also rebuild the
Palm OS precompiled headers in Palm OS 3.0 Support/Incs/Precompiled, opening
PalmHeaders.mcp. Because the compiler will give you an error if you attempt
build it as-is (it's due to the fact that the original precompiled headers
copied from the CD onto the hard drive is read-only, and the compiler cannot
overwrite these), you must go into the Obj folder and delete all the files
there before rebuilding.
Mac:
After merging as instructed in the document, open the PalmSimHeaders.mcp
project, and open the Project Settings. Look in the Access Paths panel. Look at
the System Paths box. You will need to add and delete a few access paths in
order to get it to compile.
 Delete {Project}::
add {Compiler}::Palm OS 3.0 Support (the Palm OS 3.0 Support folder,
compiler relative)
 add {Compiler}::Metrowerks Standard Library:MSL C:MSL Mac:Public
Includes
The project should now compile, although warnings will still be present.
