It is as far as mainstream versions are concerned. All mainstream versions of
prc-tools from the original 0.1.0 through the current 0.6.0, including Jeff
Dionne's official prc-tools-0.5.0 distribution, have been distributed in source
form only designed to compile under UNIX or a sufficiently good source-level
UNIX emulator like Cygwin. As far as deviant branch versions, such as yours or
Handspring's, and binary distributions not built by the maintainer, such as the
Weendoze version of prc-tools-0.5.0, I as the maintainer don't have to be
concerned about them, and I choose not to be.
Continuing the CW analogy, if someone managed to get CW running under UNIX
(using a Weendoze or Mac binary emulator) without any blessing from Metrowerks,
I don't think Jun-Kiat Lam would suddenly start supporting CW under UNIX or
reminding everyone every single time that only Mac and Windows are officially
supported.
