I am entitled to assume UNIX without asking or mentioning it explicitly because
it's the only official one. Again, suppose someone (in a third world country
that does not honor proprietary software) hacked CW and made a modified version
without any blessing from MW that runs on something other than Mac or Windows.
Suppose that this version becomes wildly popular and a lot of people asking
about CW mean this version on its platform. But this won't make it any more
official, and MW's support people on this list would still be perfectly
entitled to answer all CW questions in the context of the official Mac/Windows
version without mentioning it explicitly.

But people have the right to know, and I have the duty to inform them, that
that version is *not* the official one despite Palm misrepresenting it as such
by the way it's presented on the development tools pages.
