in my eyes, i dont think the word 'official' as you use it Michael
really counts here. CodeWarrior is the official compiler for the
Palm Computing Platform. there is nothing you can do about this.

as for gcc? the 'official' version that Palm Computing Inc. supports
if prc-tools 2.0. this is the version that they have hired someone
to maintain for the Palm Development Community. your version? well,
in their eyes is just another 'stream' that was continued from the
original prc-tools series (which in its own right, may be 'official')

Palm Computing provides support for CW and prc-tools 2.0 - i dont see
prc-tools 0.6.0 mentioned anywhere on their website, and hence since
they dont provide support for it.. it is not 'official' from their
  point of view.

exactly what is a Public Service Agent? you state you are involved
in the 'International Free Computing Task Force' - now, is prc-tools
2.0 NOT free? if it is free, then why are you bitching about this
  and that..

> E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] (ARPA TCP/SMTP) (UUCP coming soon)

ARPA? TCP? SMTP? get with the times Michael. we dont need to boast
our 'iliteral' acronyms these days to be someone. you are still
living in the past.. get with tommorow. you are already and outcast
in the Palm Development Community. i am very tempted to add a clause
to the PilRC development that will NOT allow you to use PilRC under
  prc-tools 0.6.0

you are starting to frustrate, not only myself, but everyone on this
list. and after many attempts of trying to tell you about the purpose
of this list, you fail to recognise that 70% (or there abouts) probably
dont give two rats arses about gcc. they are CW users. you are simply
  wasting bandwidth.

to all other palm-dev-forum subscribers, sorry for this bandwidth :P
but enough is enough. either we pernamently remove Michael from the
list - or he gets his act together and starts acting in a more mature
manner. wounds can be healed.. but at the rate he is going, salt is
  a very high stock.

  cheers.
