How about building some sort of mechanism into the PalmOS to handle
registrations? It should of course provide some flexibility to allow the
developer to define custom encryption keys, etc.
But it should be relatively easy to use so that developers don't have to
waste time building their own elaborate password schemes.
Even if piracy can be cut down just a little, I'm sure it would be worth it.
After all, some sort of protection is better than none at all.
