First off, I'd like to say that I'm not asking everyone to give me all their code. I just requested that people might like to donate a few functions which I could post in my forum to help others out. I *could* go through the archive of this mailing list and just collect stuff, if that's the recommended way to do it. I just thought with so many PalmOS programmers, a few might like to help out newcomers (and others) by throwing a few handy functions my way.

The point being, I asked if anyone would donate a function or two and I had one response. I'm not disputing your many years of helping programmers out. Everyonoe appreciates that. OTOH I do see "RTFM" and "STFW" posts.

As I said, I'm not disputing that, but if nobody minds, I will go back through old posts and sift out some functions to post on my site.

Yes, I realise that.

Well, I wasn't after anyone's complete library of functions, but one or two from say 10 people would be quite handy to stick somewhere, don't you think?

I have never said "help me, urgent". In fact, I have asked questions which haven't been answered, but I did look around to try and find answers elsewhere and never whinged.

>part of being a good programmer is being able to find stuff :)

I guess I shall go searching then.
This is not primarily to help me out (although it's always good to read others' work), but just an idea for something to help newcomers out. To give them a kick-start and to save a big search through lists like this. If I learn something as well, all the better.
