The XRD format is used in the OS itself and has been for over a year. So, I would say that it's production quality. The resource editor does not expose any functionality to end users to manipulate the DOM, but if you are capable of writing XML, you should find yourself able to manipulate the format. I'm not certain if the DTD is in the PODS alpha or not--I haven't downloaded the installer to check.
