Apologies, first to moderator of list for being a little off topic. But this I want to say to Susan, at least:
Ah, Susan! My first false husband (I call him that because nothing about that relationship was true to begin with) briefly had a Ford Tampo. It was a nice car, a 1987. He got rid of it. He did not want to keep it. I thought that was the best car we had. But, never mind. I've gotten so used to living without one I don't even care. I'm used to taking buses even before that dumb relationship. So, I never had a car for very long anyhow. When my parents were alive, only my father drove. He did not trust my mother and did not want her to learn how to drive. She had to hoof it or take buses everywhere. I felt it was very unfair. She could have learned to drive. That is why I never participated in much of anything and everything else was out of my area as far as activities for blind kids in Chicago was concerned. She was quite stressed out because of that. I realize it stressed me out too, especially on hot, humid sweltering days. I used to really complain about it. Yet, he did not care. Demanding and unreasonable. Well, back on track now: Yeah, your car would be XM ready if it's a 2002. If not, then you can get the kit for car installation easily. I'm so glad they have the home receivers, though. There are quite a few blind folks out here in Sacramento who are really into XM as much as I am. We're crazy about it. Regular radio has become a wasteland. It's so sad to see it go downhill. You cannot even dx anymore like you used to, but now I'm busy with other things. And the satellite is on all the time.
