Caketalking makes it possible to use jaws better with sornar. You can hear the tracks click as you pass them, sounds when arming/unarming a track and much more. There is a program called jsornar I think is free but I haven't used it much to speak very much about the features. Dancing dots usually sell caketalk with sornar because sonar doesn't have any speech with it. Window-eyes does work with sornar. However you don't get all the sounds confirming when a given action has taken place. It just depends how much feedback you wish and if caketalk can fit in your budget. I had to save up for around a year and ahalf to get my first sornar and didn't get any of the upgrades between sornar four and eight because I couldn't come up with the money until version eight came out.
Maybe someone else on the list can speak on jsonar.
Sorry for the lack on info on jsonar from me.

You can order both CakeTalking and SONAR at Dancing Dots.
CakeTalking costs $289 and works fine with JAWS 10. SONAR has 2
   editions
which they sell for the minimum advertised price. The Producer Edition
is
$499 and the Studio Edition is $299. They are both excellent but the
Producer Edition comes with a few more soft synthe instruments including
the Session Drummer 3, more audio effects and more options to
customize some
of the effects also contained in the Studio Edition.

For $99 you can order the Fast Track USB or, for $199, the Fast Track
Pro. Both of these units are high-end audio interfaces/soundcards
that
connect using USB. It's important to have a separate soundcard to
dedicate to
recording and playing back the audio that comes with SONAR.

Lastly, you should make certain that your PC at least meets the
minimum System Requirements for SONAR. See
   http://www.dancingdots.com/prodesc/CakeTalkingForSONAR.htm for System
Requirements for CakeTalking and a link to the System Requirements for
SONAR.

To order online, see the link that says: "Order CakeTalking and Related
Accessories Now" which you will find on that same page. For the Fast
   Track:

Or just call us at 610-783-6692 and press Option 1 for Sales.

Sornar 8 is extremely suitable for your needs. I must admit I haven't
used
all of it's features yet. But have used some affects, recored many many
programs and local artists using the multi-tracks from sornar 4 up to
sornar
8. I can't afford to get sornar five right now.
I also like the import and exporting, features.

I use sornar 8 for doing the multi-track. However, I have a friend
who is working on learning adobe audition multi-track using
window-eyes 71. I will let you know.

Most of it is blind friendly . However, the multi-trick feature I
find challenging. I am going to try some scrips I just got for adobe
audition.
