Hi Christian, You will have to spend a fair amount to use OSX on the 9500 you describe. The only new video card for a non-APG Mac is the ATI Radeon 7000. But if you want the most bang for the buck get a used ATI Rage 128 16mb; About $50. and that is less than half of the cost of a 7000 card.
Look for used stuff on the LEM Swap List. A good $55.00 ATA controller, ACARD AHard PCI Ultra ATA/66 PCI Interface for PCI PowerMacs at OWC; < http://eshop.macsales.com/Catalog_Page.cfm?Parent=96&Title=SCSI%20%26%20IDE%20Controllers&Template= >. You can buy most of what you need at good prices at OWC. The 128mb DIMMS are about $27.00ea. You need at least 3 DIMMS and 5 or more would be better; OSX will use all you can give. CompUSA had some $20.00 Generic USB cards that work well. $210.00 should raise the dead.
