In other words, you lied to them and cost them money despite the fact that
they explicitly told you that your machine is not supported.

I doubt that this fixed the problem. Did you try printing the same document
before you started moving things around?

They probably don't think it is worthwhile to pursue such a small market. If
they knew about incidents like this, they would probably be more aggressive
about blocking pre-G3 macs. Your call to tech support essentially negated
any possible profit they would have made on your purchase.
