Mick,
Obviously you won't be swayed by my view nor will I be by yours.
That's OK . It's what the USA is all about. It seems you are a developer
or have a vested interest in your views that goes beyond a simple interest
in computers.
I needed a printer. I am on a fixed income. This is the real world
out here . A person buys a product and expects that if it does not work
the company either replaces it or fixes the situation .
Lexmark was not worried about my financial viability when I bought
two inkjet
cartridges at almost $ 70..00 today. That's where they make it all back.
And is almost as much as the printer cost a few months back. And Lexmark
seems to be
inducing buyers to buy these ink burners . I saw a printer with 2 megapixel
camera for only $ 122.00. Reminds me of when the gas stations gave out
drinking glasses, washed your windshield and gave you green stamps (double
on tuesday ! ) too.
I think it's called getting the buyer in the door. So Lexmark knows how to
take care of itself.
And now that I can print large files, thanks to your advice, I will
be needing a lot more ink. So you see my friend it all works out in the
end.
respectfully,
Adrian D'Alessio
