Nope, I'd already checked Norton DD and SD as well as TTP's diagnostic and
Optimization, but it's still off.  As for  your underlying question, what do
I need the speed for -- Tons of large WP documents as well as photos and web
editing.  I assumed I would see a marked difference between the 604e and the
G3 and when I didn't find it (and didn't notice anyone else commenting on
similar problems), I figured something was amiss on my end.
