OK. You're correct in that I did lose sight of that fact. However, my thinking is this: I have 4 PowerMac's to get up to useable amounts of RAM. Most of them have 8 MB or 16 MB DIMM's in them now. I have (2) 64 MB DIMM's in my main machine now (as well as 2 32's and 4 16's). If I purchase 20 32 MB DIMM's for $100 ($5 each), I can do this: 7600 - G3/400 = 8 x 32 = 256 MB 7500 - G3/266 = 8 x 32 = 256 MB 7200 - 120 = 4 x 32 = 128 MB 7200 - 120 = 4 x 32 = 128 MB 6360 - 160 = 2 x 64 = 136 (8 MB on board) The only one's that really are an issue here are the 7200's with only 128. The 6360 is maxed out. 256 MB is plenty for running 9.2.2. The 64 MB DIMM's are $13.99 with no volume discount, the 128 MB DIMM's are $24.99 with no volume discount. So, even if I went with the 64's or 128's, it'd end up costing me at least twice as much. I'd be saving some slot's for future expansion though, except for the 7200's which I have had issues with 128's before. Every other place I checked with wanted $13.99 to $24.99 for 32 MB DIMM's, and some were 4k refresh instead of 2k refresh, and the 64 and 128's went up considerably from there. Folks on the swap list are also asking more than $5 each for the 32's. Thoughts? --> Russ -- PCI-PowerMacs is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
