I may get a stick in the face for saying this, but...

I've been having problems with 4k refresh DIMM's in my 7600/G3/266 where
sometimes it finds the ram, sometimes it doesn't. I put these same sticks
in an old PC, and they work flawlessly. Meanwhile, I put 32 MB 2k sticks
in, and it works every time; Not even once has it hiccupped.

When you look at Apple specs, they specifically note to use 2k refresh and
not 4k refresh DIMM's. It shouldn't matter IMO, but for some reason it
does. So, I have completely stopped buying anything but 2k refresh DIMM's,
and I haven't had an issue since.

Take this info however you want, because there are folks who'll say they've
never had issues with 4k refresh DIMM's. I just happen to be one of those
who has. Maybe it's the somewhat clean air around here :-)
