Yes, I agree that 9600's are the greatest after what passed for a 'case' with it's predecessor, the 9500.I'm not sure if that was the same case as the 8500. But if so I whole heartedly concur. May the engineers of that piece of $%&#
Man, that was just about the most exasperating piece of junk case ever devised by Apple Computer Inc..
When you are having memory trouble it drives you nuts disassembling the thing to get at something you can plainly see, but can't access. And then while pulling it to pieces repeatedly the bits start breaking,.... power on/off switch, speaker getting holed, pci slot holder tabs falling everywhere, finding a ram dimm isn't seated, scsi cable unplugged....GRRRRR!!!
Wondering why my 9500/G4-450 went to the big Apple graveyard?

be eternally consigned to memory DIMM testing on one. Unless of course they redemptively worked on the 9600 !
