>I'm not sure if that was the same case as the 8500.

The 9500 case shares a lot of the 8500 case components. The front molded
part is extended by an adapter so it is taller as a composite. The rear
molded part, the mobo frame and the external metal part are unique to the
9500 (taller).

The 8600 and 9600 use the same case.

The Beige G3 MT case is a shortened 9500 case with a new bottom, new
back, and several molded parts shortened.
