I could use some guidance on this. I have no jumpers on this drive. I am still booting from one of my SCSI drives, although I intend to pull two of them once I have data transferred to the new ATA drive. Should I have jumpers installed?

I can boot from the OS9 CD, and the problems manifested when I tried to initialize from that CD. The same thing occurred when I booted into 8.6 and used the drive setup from that utilities folder. I want to get to using 9.1 at a minimum, but I want to get down to only 1 SCSI HD before doing this.
The new HD and tempo card appeared on system profiler yesterday, but I couldn't boot from my startup disc this morning until I disconnected the HD. The card appears in the system profiler, even when disconnected.
