oooooo--this is something you've done, yourself? and the memory
controller recognized all 1024MB?
<slobber slobber>
now THAT math, i had DONE--but i didn't know if real life kept pace with
my wonderings.
[BTW- thanks to whoever it was who gently kicked me in the head and
reminded me my 6360 only used 72 pin RAM. d'oh. you can tell how long
it's been]
ok- so i COULD fill those 8 slots with 128 meggers? and the beast will
actually use all of it??
and I'm still perplexed about the bus speed vs CPU speed. bus 40 times 8
is only 320MHz. bus 50 times 10 is 500MHz. if OWC says an 8500 'can'
use a particular CPU, don't i still have to know my bus speed, to know
if I'm trying to buy more CPU speed than i can use?? or does a faster
CPU just while away its own downtime, waiting for the slower bus?
