I am wondering why you want to install 9.2.2 when 9.1 is so stable & there
is such a small difference in the two systems UNLESS you can then install OS
10. I have a 7 yr. old 6500 w/ G3 400 processor & 128 megs of ram. I tried
to install 9.2.2 just for the heck of it, although I knew I could not run OS
10 on my 6500 & got the message that my computer would not support 9.2.2 &
that it could not be installed on my machine. I was also advised by some
Mac techs not to install it even if I could since there was no way to
upgrade to OS 10 & because there were some problems inherent in it that were
not in 9.1. I took their advice & am very happy with 9.1. I was given a
blue & white G3 on which I do have OS 10.3, but so far haven't used it. LOL.
I love my old "6500 workhorse". It is SO stable & trouble free.
