Hi Ginny, I know what you mean and have felt this way for years! But perhaps you missed the context of this in earlier posts... my hand was forced as this was the pathway advised to get the required ATI extensions (drivers and stuff) to run a new LCD digital screen and an ATI video card. There were other vaguer suggestions re 9.1 but the weight of advice and some tests made upgrade attractive. As I have said, the screen ran brilliantly. The upgrades made some other things work too.
