Worth mentioning is the non-apple-rom CDROM problem can sometimes be
bypassed by holding down delete-option-command-shift while booting. I
built a 6400 for my mother, and it includes a SCSI cd burner ripped
from a dead PC replacing the original CDROM drive. holding down C to
startup won't boot from that burner, but holding down delete-option-
command-shift while booting does work just fine.
