Vern,
    Make sure in the upgrade to XP something didn't happen
to the file cards.dll.  This is where Windows keeps the card faces
for the card games.  I know it's in the WINNT\system32 folder on
Windows 2000 Pro so you may want to do a search focused on your
Windows folder including sublolders.  It sounds like either the file
is missing, corrupt, or the registry entry that links the dll to the card
game is messed up.
