Linda, are you using Dreamweaver to maintain your site now?

If so then "Find and Replace" should help you do this for your entire site.
So if you have common meta tag grouping throughout the entire site then do
a search for source code and enter in the entire meta tag group in the Find
window and do so again in the Replace window but with the addition of the
Smart Tags code. This should make the transition so much easier.
