Thanks Hugh, somehow I got it in my mind that this wouldn't work 
because it had nothing to do with a CD test....making things too 
complicated I guess. At any rate, I uninstalled and reinstalled the 
program. They even upgraded my program. Everything is back to normal 
with AVG. I have to say, "this is the most trouble free AV program 
I've ever had bar none."
