My XP Pro system contains a 12 gig, which contains my OS and my programs along with some data, a 40 gig, which holds temp files, digital photos and junk, and a 60 gig, which contains my MP3 collection. I recently installed a ION Drive 80 gig USB 2.0 drive which came partitioned into three 25.5 gig volumes. I am considering re-partitioning/reformatting it to be one drive (it contains a standard ATA 7200 drive), but for now I am using it as is.....
The reason for obtaining the ION Drive was to backup my MP3 collection, which I have done onto the first two partitions. That leaves me with an empty 25.5 gig drive, which I would like to use as a system (Drive C) backup. I tried using the built-in Win XP backup feature, but it bombed, stating something to the effect it could only use 4 gigs, since I am running FAT32. Any suggestions on some (preferably free) backup software that would allow me to backup my system and the rest of my 12 gig C drive onto the 25.5 gig ION Drive volume?? ============= PCWorks Mailing List ================= Don't see your post?
